What is the Koala?
Building a Super Koala Together
The Super Koala is a kit airplane manufactured by Fisher Flying Products. EAA Chapter 283 has been working to build it with the hopes of selling it once finished.
This plane is classified as a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) and will be able to hold 2 people. It is constructed using wood and fabric — a traditional building method that is accessible to builders of all experience levels.
Working on the Koala is a great way to develop real aircraft-building skills alongside fellow aviation enthusiasts.
